Our students are highly employable, and successful graduates can look forward to a number of career paths.
We are committed to encouraging you to develop the skills to make positive career decisions, from year one through to after you graduate.
Our Employability Programme runs throughout the year, for all undergraduate and postgraduate students, starting with the Employability Conference in September, with skills-based workshops and a chance to meet employers.
What do Law graduates do?
You might already have an idea of what you want to do after your degree, be it further training for a legal career, or further study for legal research or teaching.
A law degree offers a range of transferable skills that can reach far beyond the legal profession, and our graduates secure a wide variety of roles after graduation.

Our careers programme
Our timetabled sessions provide you with excellent opportunities to learn about various career pathways, including careers in the legal profession and the public and private sector.
You will also meet leading professionals and engage in skills workshops, including drafting CV's, finding work experience, interview skills, and successful networking.
Our Careers Service also offers specialist CV clinics and drop-in appointments.
Networking
The value of developing your network early cannot be overstated.
The people you meet at the beginning of your undergraduate degree could be the people that employ you three years later, and we will help you make these connections.
We offer employment support activities including events and collaborations with law firms around the country, as well as societies which will help you develop essential transferable skills.

Study the Faculty of Humanities Career Management Skills course unit as a free choice unit to gain academic credits, meet employers and develop your employability skills.
Postgraduate
