International sudent spotlights
Some of our current international students share their experiences of the School and studying for a degree at Manchester.
Arsalan Abid
Arsalan came over from Pakistan to study Law. He tells us that most enjoyable aspects of studying here are meeting a diverse set of people and having an extremely supportive system in place to utilise.
Aisha Bakhtiar
Aisha came over from Brunei to study Law with Politics. She tells us how she's been in The University of Manchester's Law Society since her first year. She's joined the main mooting competitions, and has been appointed the School of Law's Student Ambassador for 2017-18.
Amaris Salsabila Malik Bawazier
Amaris came over from Indonesia to study Law. She tells us how she chose the School of Law at The University of Manchester for its wide range of subjects and she particularly chose Manchester because she wanted a city and the metropolitan lifestyle that such a big place offers.
Karen Kei Ching Ho
Karen came over from Hong Kong to study Criminology. She tells us that she chose the University of Manchester for its great location and high employment rates for graduates as well as its broad range of research material available to students.
Priscilla Lim
Priscilla came over from Malaysia to study Law. She tells us Manchester has given me many opportunities that she would not have got by studying in Malaysia, such as the breadth of subjects to choose from. She also feels that studying in Manchester has helped her grow personally as an individual, learning many life skills.
Erica Martini
Erica came over from Canada to study Law. She tells us that moving far away from home helped her grow as an individual. She has thrown herself into her studies and has volunteered with the Legal Advice Centre as well as joining the Manchester University Law Society.
Mathura Yogeswaran
Mathura came over from Canada to study Law with Politics. She tells us that she chose The University of Manchester as it provided the opportunity to study two areas she's always been interested in. After graduation she plans to complete the National Committee of Accreditation and become a lawyer in Canada.
