Why study here?
We offer an enviable heritage, international connections and a commitment to ensuring you will have all the skills you need to make a real-world contribution when you leave us.
The Manchester experience
Some of our 2015 graduating class talk about their time at Manchester, why they chose to study with us, and what they'll take away from their experience.
Choosing to study at Manchester's School of Law offers you everything you want in a degree and more.
Many of our academic staff have research links with overseas organisations such as the United Nations, the World Trade Organisation and a number of legal authorities and international law schools. This allows them to bring unique experiences into the classroom, and encourage you to consider global problems as part of your studies.
Strong legal history
The University of Manchester has been providing legal education since 1872 and our graduates include suffragette Dame Christabel Pankhurst who gained her law degree in 1906 . We're as proud of our heritage as we are of the amazing work our staff and students go on to do today.
Commitment to making a difference
It's important to us that our work contributes to society and that our students are given the skills to take this work forward. You will be given opportunities to develop the skills and expertise necessary to understand the relevant of your degree in the real work when you graduate.
