School of Law

students in the Alan Gilbert Learning Commons

Facilities at the School of Law

Your studies with us will be supported by the first-class resources you'd expect of a top law school.

We offer the spaces you need to work, interact and develop your skills.

Moot court

Our moot court allows you to develop your mooting and debating skills in a realistic court setting, without having to leave the School.

Libraries

The University of Manchester Library hosts a substantial collection of law books and periodicals, as well as texts to support all the degrees we offer. This includes the most extensive range of electronic resources of any UK Higher Education library.

Computing

You will find high quality networked computers and wireless network access points across the campus, including:

  • The School of Law computer rooms in the Williamson Building
  • The University Library and Learning Commons
  • Various other locations including halls of residence

As email is the prime means of communication between staff and students, all students are given a personal email account which is accessible both on and off campus.

Students may also set up their own web page on a University file-server to develop and publish their academic work.
