Introduction to our Centre
The Centre for Social Ethics and Policy (CSEP) is one of Europe's leading institutions, undertaking research and teaching courses in bioethics and biolaw.
The Centre which can fairly claim to be the leading one of its kind in Europe, was founded in 1986 and is directed by Margaret Brazier and Soren Holm and co-directed by John Harris.

May 2012: Professor Margot Brazier has been awarded a Medal of Honour for her contribution to the University. The Medal of Honour is the highest non-degree award bestowed by the University. The award is intended to honour individuals who have made an exceptional and sustained contribution to the work of the University and/or the city of Manchester and/or the North West region.
