The Centre for Social Ethics and Policy (CSEP) and the Institute of Science, Ethics and Innovation (iSEI) has launched a comprehensive package of short online courses in medical ethics and law.
What people are saying about the Medical Decision-Making package:
CPD Student Dr Louise Turnball: “I have thoroughly enjoyed this course. It has given me a good grounding in the basics of medical ethics and law. The content is interesting and written in a clear and concise manner. Being an online course I can pick it up and put it down whenever convenient and having a short online quiz at the end of each section is brilliant to test my recall. Having no essays to write made this course possible for me as I generally have a very busy schedule already!”
CPD student November 2011 "A good introduction to medical law suitable for a variety of disciplines. This will no doubt prove to be useful in clinical practice, helping students understand and also avoid litigation. Friendly and helpful staff to guide you though registration and study modules"
Joanne Kerr, Lecturer and Adult Branch Co-ordinator, School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work, University of Manchester: “This course is user-friendly, extremely well written and well presented. I would have no hesitation in recommending this course to my colleagues, nurses and midwives who want to develop their professional skills enabling them to make informed judgments about a variety of relevant ethical issues. The course also has the potential to enhance students’ ability to communicate, debate and critically analyse clearly and effectively, online and with other professionals. In today's climate it is important that University's provide online courses that will empower professionals to help others to clarify their own thinking on such important ethical and legal issues.”
