Law, Race, Religion and Human Rights

The law has increasingly become an arena for the legal regulation of race issues using both race and/or human rights provisions.  This regulation can be seen in the Criminal and Civil law, employment, social and public service relations, domestic and EC law. Developments in the areas of academic research and teaching reflect this regulation.

The main aim of this stream is to bring together those interested in these areas and thus the proposal of papers are welcome in any area of ‘Law and Race, Race and Human Rights, Law and Religion, Race and Religion, Law, Religion and Human rights, Law, Religion, Race and Human rights or Law, Race and Human Rights.’

In particular, we would welcome papers that seek to employ a multi-disciplinary approach to the field.

Abstracts of no more than 250 words should be submitted by email attachment to the stream organisers by 31st January 2008.  Early submission would be appreciated.
