Labour Law
This is a call for papers from lawyers and academics from other disciplines working in the field of labour law. We are open to receiving individual abstracts which take a socio-legal approach, or proposals for a panel / focus group (with 3 speakers), on a particular area of interest. Previous panels have included discussions relating to: The concept of employee/employment/worker. Regulating Labour in a global economy. Workers at the margins. Labour law challenges in an enlarged EU. Families, children and labour law. Employment rights as human rights. Inequality and discrimination in the workplace; The demise of trade unionism.
Informal inquiries about the stream should be sent to Nicole Busby or Grace James. Abstracts of no more than 250 words should be sent via email to both stream organisers no later than 31 January 2008. Please include the title and a brief outline of the paper together with your name and professional affiliation and between three and five keywords suitable for indexing and online search purposes.
