Family and Child
The SLSA in Manchester 2008 will be offering a Family and Child Law Stream!
Well, it will be if you contribute ...
We are asking for papers relating to Family and Child Law in order to offer the stream at the SLSA conference in 2008. Family Law is reasonably wide and might include Child Law and other sub-areas and themes, so don’t be afraid to ask!
There are likely to be panels containing 2 or 3 related papers, and anything up to 8 panels through the conference, depending on the responses received.
We would like to offer panels at the conference on the themes of –
- Cohabitation and reform proposals
- ‘Alternative’ Families – adoption, surrogacy, heterosexual and same-sex families, single parent families etc
- Government targets and Adoption – what happened to child welfare?
- Parental Responsibility
- European Family Law
However - if you have an idea for a theme you would like covering at conference, or are interested in contributing towards, then please contact Penny Booth p.j.booth@staffs.ac.uk as soon as possible so that we can start organising!
Abstracts should be sent by the end of January 2008.
Please contact, by email in the first instance p.j.booth@staffs.ac.uk
